Jenna Hipp What’s Hot Now Nail Collection Review & Swatches

jenna hipp nail polish collection review

We love nail polishes, and if they’re free of all those yucky toxins, even better. So when we found Jenna Hipp‘s What’s Hot Now 12pc mini polish collection under our Christmas tree, well let’s just say we might have squealed a little. We’ve been intrigued about the Hipp line for a while now, so we we’re happy to get the chance to try out these quick dry nail polishes.

Known as the Celebrity Green Nail Stylist, Jenna Hipp truly embraces the green philosophy by using an exclusive “Five Free Formula” in her nail polish line. What does this mean? So unlike many of the nail polishes on the market, these polishes contain no Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde Resin, Formaldehyde, Toluene and Camphor–ingredients extremely toxic for us.

Inside the Collection

  • 12 polishes (0.16 fl oz. each)
  • 1 nail file

Performance

First of all, we absolutely love the range of nail polish colors in this set. There is a color for everyone here, whether we’re looking for a bright color like coral or wanting black to match our edgy look.

One of the cons we found on this set was the brush.  We had to be extra careful not to over dip into the formula or we’d get streaks or polish on the sides of our nails. For gals like us who love to pain our nails but aren’t as savvy on getting that salon look, we prefer the thick brushes we find with the Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI nail polishes. But despite the brush, once we got the hang of how to get the right application, it was fairly easy to achieve smooth coats. We do suggest applying two coats to really get the best performance possible.

In terms of drying time, the Jenna Hipp polishes are absolutely fantastic. We rarely have the patience to sit and wait for our nails to dry so having them ready within minutes is right up our alley. Simply add a top coat to seal the nail color and make them more glossy.
