Summer may be about enjoying the hot sun and bright neon prints, it’s also a great opportunity to adapt a healthier lifestyle. A great way to do so is switch up what we eat by incorporating more fruits, vegetables and grains in our diet. We have the perfect quick and easy tropical fruit smoothie recipe that is high on antioxidants and nutrients, but also refreshing and delicious.

What You Need

  • 1 – 1 1/2 cup of Trader Joes Organic Tropical Fruit Blend or your favorite fruit combinations (frozen)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tbsp of chia seeds
  • 1 scoop of PlantFusion Protein Powder Vanilla
  • A Blender
  • Minced Raspberries for garnish (optional)
Directions

Pre-step: Have your ingredients ready in advance for easy preparation.

Step 1

Add your two thirds of your fruit and chia seeds to your blender. [Tip: Depending on the size of your blender you may need to need to add less so you have room for the other ingredients]

Step 2

Next scoop up some of the PlantFusion Protein Powder and add that to mix. Pour in the cup of water.

Step 3

Pop the lid on and start to blend until everything is well combined.

Step 4

Final step is to add the remaining fruit and give one final blend. Once the smoothie is at the consistency you want, pour it in a glass (or to go cup). Garnish with minced raspberries.  And enjoy!
