We love trying new beauty subscription boxes, especially if they’re bringing something new to the table. So when we got the chance to check out Vegan Cuts, a company dedicated to bringing the best vegan products directly to our door, we were thrilled. Now what makes their beauty box (they also have a snack box..yum!) different than most others is that they are solely focused on cruelty-free brands (vegan as well). What better way to discover products that are not only good for our skin but also a conscious choice. Here’s what we received in our January Vegan Cuts Beauty Box and review:

What We Think

We fell in love with the OFRA Cosmetics liquid lipstick we got in the color ‘Plumas’ and were impressed with the lasting power. It seemed set within a few seconds of putting it on our lips, but more importantly it didn’t leave our lips feeling dry. Having heard about the benefits of organic deodorant versus regular deodorant, we were intrigued by the primal pit paste. It has a lovely lemon scent which for some might be too much, but we really enjoyed it. We only need a little bit on each arm pit. Fortunately, we had no sensitivity issues and felt our arm pits refreshed. We’ll have to test this product a bit longer before we can really see how it holds up in all conditions (gym, etc).

The Dew Puff was one we really had fun with. As advocators of exfoliation this puff was right up our alley. To use we simply wet the sponge until it’s completely soft and then proceed to massage the face in circular motions. Although it says a cleanser is optional we do recommend using one to get a better clean.  We found the Aubrey Organics’ detangler and shine booster worked pretty well in detangling our hair. And we did notice more shine on every application. We’re excited to try it on wet hair to see if we get the same results. One negative though was the scent, it is a bit overpowering if we spray too much.

Normally we’re not fans of sample packets and wished we’d been able to test a bit more of the Biao Beauty night creme and Better Botanical products, but from what we did use, we did like them, especially the night creme given that we lean more on the dry skin spectrum. It kept our skin nice and moisturized overnight.

For some the $19.99 price tag might seem a little steep compared to several of the popular beauty subscription services on the market, but for organic, vegan products we expect there to be bit of a premium. Did the products justify the cost? We think so. We got a few full size and deluxe products that add up to more than the $19.99 price tag.

What we loved most about the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box besides it being a great introduction to anyone wanting to try cruelty-free products is the well rounded choice of products. There isn’t 2 lipsticks or two cremes but products that cover from head to toe, which allows to get a really good sense of incorporating more natural products in our beauty routine.

Would we recommend it? Absolutely
