[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here’s nothing like treating yourself to a nice vacation to relax and replenish your energy after months of hard work. Whether it’s a long weekend or a full-on trip to an exotic destination, it is the perfect opportunity to pack a great wardrobe with you that will make you look and feel good. The best part is that you don’t have to pick between style and comfort; you can have the best of both worlds. We have just the fashion Dos and Don’ts guide on what to pack so you can travel in style.
Do wear light layers

Layers are important for any journey, regardless if you’re traveling somewhere hot or somewhere cold. You can easily switch them around and take them off if you need to. Also, layered outfits adds dimension and texture to a look.
Don’t overdo it with the jewelry

Specifically, don’t overdo it with metal jewelry if you plan to pass a metal detector. You don’t want to be stuck fiddling with the cuff of your necklace for five minutes while airport security glares at you and taps their foot impatiently. Besides, jewelry can be pretty uncomfortable to wear while you travel, especially if it’s big and chunky. However, minimalist plastic and wooden alternatives fantastic, and can be used to style up any look. But if you do want that extra chunky necklace you got from a friend then we suggest packing it in your carry-on and rocking it during your vacation and not at the airport.
Do pay attention to the weather

Being unprepared for the weather can really make traveling harder, and you might end up freezing because you forgot to bring a proper jacket, or a sweaty mess because all you packed was winter clothes. Pay attention to the forecast during those travel times you plan to visit so you can pack accordingly.
Don’t forget sun protection

So this is more of a beauty tip, but it goes hand in hand with looking and feeling your best. We recommend applying your sunscreen in the morning, and keeping a little bottle of it in your carry on. If you don’t like the hassle of reapplying SPF or you’re planning to wear makeup, you can buy a misting spray with sunscreen that will refresh your face and make it easy to stay protected.
Do get a pair of good sneakers

Athleisure is a jetsetter’s best friend because it’s the perfect way to balance style and comfort without any of the fuss. While celebrities might rock the heels as they board the plane, it doesn’t mean you have to follow suit. Grab a pair of comfy shoes like the cool New Balance sneakers to pair with your slimming, curve-hugging black leggings and a cozy oversized Adidas hoodie. A denim jacket, or even a leather one, can go over it if you need an extra layer to protect you.
Don’t pack anything that wrinkles

If you don’t want to end up using up your vacation time ironing your wrinkled clothes, don’t wear fabrics that wrinkle easily. Rayon, polyester blends, velvet, knitwear, and even silk can be great, but stay away from anything with linen. Stretchy fabrics are always a great choice, and so are clothes with prints as they help make the wrinkles less visible.
Do bring a scarf

A light scarf has many purposes. It’s an easy accessory, but it can also be folded up and used to rest your head while you’re traveling, or as a headscarf, worn in that old Hollywood movie star way. Hats and caps are also great accessories to pack because they not only add to an outfit, but can offer some protection against the weather.
Do wear great sunglasses

Having bloodshot, tired eyes isn’t the best way to feel stylish after a long haul flight, but glasses can solve that by making you look cool and polished instead of bedraggled. They instantly give you a movie star vibe, and who doesn’t like that!

Wrinkle free clothes are a must. I hate to iron, especially using on in a hotel creeps me out. I’m sure they don’t clean those.
I so agree with wrinkle free clothes. The thought of using an iron from a Hotel creeps me out.
It is easy to forget about the weather when travelling I made that mistake once and did not bring coats and we got rained on.
