It’s a new year, and with it our return to some of our favorite beauty subscription services. The first is Glossybox. Now we’ve been fans of them for quite a while so we we’re happy to get a chance to grab a January box and review it. This month’s theme focused on the new year and starting our beauty routine with the right kind of skincare and makeup. Take a look at what’s inside our box:

What We think?
We are the first to admit that we squealed a little when we saw the white beauty blender in our box. We’ve have several of the pink ones in our collection and love them, so it was great to try the pure. A nice touch was the mini blender cleanser that came with the beauty blender that way we could be able to properly clean the sponge.
The Mineral Blush in Desert Rose is absolutely gorgeous and we could see it work with any skin tone. It has small hint of gold shimmer which on the cheeks a rosy glow. Our favorite though was the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Riche cream. The dry climate hasn’t been friendly to our dry skin so this was definitely what we needed. It has a light fresh scent and quickly sinks into the skin, leaving it soft and lush. We haven’t tested to see whether the product actually lives up to its 48 hr claim, but so far we’ve really enjoyed adding this to our night routine.
It was nice using the super toning body wash, but we didn’t notice any drastic toning on our skin. We’ll have to keep testing it out to see. Our least favorite was the seal salt texturing spray. We find that with short hair it doesn’t really give the desired effect we’d want. This would probably work best with mid-length or long hair. Although we will say that we we’re crazy about the scent. If they could bottle it in perfume form, we’d be the first in line.
While there are plenty of other monthly beauty boxes out there for half the cost, Glossybox never leaves us disappointed. And that is a BIG deal. Not only is the packaging a reflection of the high quality products we’ve come to expect but also the diversity of products we’re given, many of which are deluxe to full size.
