One of the key reasons Glossybox continues to stay steady as one of our favorite beauty subscription services is their attention to detail and how well balance the products are curated each month. This month seems to heavily focus on skincare, specifically hydrating, protecting and nourishing the skin.

We were thrilled to get the chance to try out the Hollywood and cult-favorite, GlamGlow to see what all the hype was about. So far, we are really enjoying this mask, despite that it does not have as smooth of an application (we noticed we had to use more to cover) as others we’re use too, we loved how well this mask exfoliates the skin. The fact that it dries quickly is an extra bonus. We do warn those who have sensitive skin, the exfoliation might be a little rough.
Next item we were excited to get was the custom-blending anti-aging serum from Skin Inc. As great promoters of serum, we love trying new ones. Besides having anti-aging and collagen-boosting benefits, we appreciate the added hydration for our dry-prone skin. However, we will have to keep testing it out to see about the anti-aging part.
Surprisingly we absolutely loved Malin+Goetz’s Mojito Lip Balm. Not only is this balm not sticky but really works to eliminate chapped lips–something that is hard to find. Plus the light mojito-flavor is so appropriate for the summer.
Our least favorite products of the bunch were the Philip B Detangling Toning Mist, and the Mitchell and Peace body lotion. We didn’t see any great improvement to our hair when using the toning mist. Unfortunately, the scent of the body lotion while absolutely divine in the bottle did not work well with our skin. It seems that when mixed with our on skin scent it leaves a different scent we were not thrilled with. But this based on our personal preference so we can’t attest to how it will differ on each person.
While we love Glossybox’s strong emphasis to skincare, we would like to see more makeup in future boxes. Overall this month’s Glossybox was well balanced and were spot on curating products many of us can truly use, especially with all the toll on our skin during the summer.
