[large_title title=”Directions”]
Apply a base coat the protect your natural nails
Take a light pink polish and paint your pinky, middle finger and index finger. Next paint your thumb a peachy coral pink shade. And finally, apply a coat or two of yellow nail polish on your ring finger.
Let your nails dry completely before moving on to the next step to avoid any smears or color transfers.
Once your nails are dry, it’s time for the Nail Art
[Tip: Google a few photos of a chick and a bunny to use for reference. ]
For your ring finger: Take a white striper and paint the outline of the chicks eggs and then fill it in as carefully as you can with either the striper or a nail art brush. Next take your dotting tool and dip it into your black polish and make two dots on your nail as eyes. Now with a clean dotting tool (or new one) dip it in your orange nail polish and start to draw the beak. To give your chick’s eyes an added touch, dip your dotting tool in white polish and make two small dots on top of the black dots you made early for pupils.
For the thumb: Take your white striper and make a curved line about 1/4 from the bottom of your nail (almost like an upside down smile) and fill it in. Using the white striper or a nail art brush, start to carefully make two bunny ears. Next, take a light pink polish with a striper and paint a line inside each of the ears. A tiny nail art brush or toothpick works just fine. Take a dotting tool and dip it in the same light pink you used before to create the nose. Last step is to dip your dotting tool in black polish and create two eyes for your bunny.
For the middle finger: Simply take your dotting tool and dipped it into different pastel colors of your choice. We used coral pink, purple, green and yellow, but feel free to use any pastel colors of your choice. Alternate between the different colors, making sure to work downward starting from the cuticle and stopping a little over half way of the nail.
For the index finger: This look is simple but adds a bit of sparkle to the nail art. To start, take a silver striper and start to paint small wispy lines around the cuticle area. The lines should take no more than 1/4 of the nail. And finally, jast apply a silver glitter polish and paint over your entire nail.
For the pinky: Using a dotting tool, dip it in the same base color we used for the thumb (coral) or any pastel color you like and create 5 dots in the shape of a flower. Lastly, dip your dotting tool in the yellow polish and make a tiny dot in the middle of the flower you just made. Let the design dry completely before applying a top coat as it will slightly smear like ours did. But don’t worry, it’s easily fixable!
Make sure all your nails are completely dry before moving on to a top coat to avoid any smearing. Once they’re dry, apply a top coat to seal in your design and add a beautiful shine.
And that’s it!
