[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ith summer close approaching, we have gradually started to prep our skin for the hotter climate in So Cal. And the first on our road to great skin this summer is kicking up our skincare with Valentia’s Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum and their Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask. After testing them out for several weeks now, we are ready to share our review of these two products.

[large_title title=”Our Thoughts”]
First is the Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum. We are fans of using serums in our everyday skincare routine as they provide a boost to the health and wellbeing of our skin. So when we received the revitalizing serum from Valentia, we couldn’t wait to try out all the amazing benefits.
First impression: We love when face products come with a pump as this keeps application hygienic and the product lasting longer. So we were thrilled that the Clear Lift Revitalizing serum comes with a pump. Generally, we like to use nutrient-packed serums like this one for the night, but decided to change things up for the first impression by using it during the day. It turned out to work perfectly in the daytime as the consistency is like a light version of a moisturizer with an off white color. The serum absorbs into the skin easily, which made applying our makeup so much easier.
Performance: Now one of the reasons we wanted to use this product for at least a few weeks was to really see how the long term benefits of using this serum. Like most high quality serums, this one left the skin hydrated on first use but didn’t create magic on the first go. However, as we incorporated it in our daily morning routine, we started to gradually see the long-term benefits to our face. We deal with dry skin and so our complexion can easily look lackluster, but with this revitalizing serum, our skin showed a noticeable renewal to our complexion. And with our skin looking more improved so did our makeup. The added hydration and boost provided the perfect canvas for when applied our foundation.
- Pros: Hydration and renewal (long-term benefits)
- Cons: $35 price tag. Does not fall into the drugstore price range.
Overall: While we didn’t experience any drastic improvements to hyper pigmentation problem areas using this product so far, we did love the healthy glow and the improvement we saw just after using the great serum for a few weeks now.
We now move on to the Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask. If you’ve been a long time reader, you know we adore using masks on our face, body and hair. In fact, they’re usually our number one favorite “me time” activity to do during the weekends. And Clay masks are definitely a must have. One of our favorites to use is the GlamGlow ‘YOUTHMUD™’ Tinglexfoliate Treatment and so when we had the chance to try out the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask, we jumped at the opportunity.
First Impression: The first two things that stood out to us about the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask were the quantity and the texture. Unlike the GlamGlow one, which only contains 1.7 ounce, this clay is 4 fl ounces. That is more than double the quantity. Now the texture of this clay mask is not overly coarse as some clay masks can be. Instead, it has the right balance between firmness and moisturizer —making it easy to apply at the beginning while still offering a bit of exfoliation during removal. On applying a generous amount on the face, we were almost immediately hit with a tingling, slightly burning sensation on the face, which we were worried that it would make the experience dreadful but fortunately it only lasted no more than 10 to 20 seconds.
Performance: We have been using this clay mask one time every week for several weeks now and really the deep cleanse. Generally, we suffer from a lot of blackheads around the nose area but like to stay clear of using too many pore strips. The Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask offers just enough facial cleanse to keep you from having clogged pores without causing a loss of elasticity to the skin. After every mask treatment we do with the clay mask, it leaves our skin feeling clean and rejuvenated.
- Pros: Cleans clogged pores, double teams as a light exfoliation, and the amount of product you get.
- Cons: There is a light cranberry fragrance, which may bother those sensitive to fragrances in skincare products.
Overall: As far as clay masks go, the Valentia Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask is definitely one to check out if you’re looking for a solid clay mask that tackles the weekly grim that builds on our face.

I’ve always wanted to try serums! The clay mask look interesting too! I’d love to try them out
If you do, let us know because we would love to hear your thoughts on them.
Both of these sound like really good products! I’ve actually yet to try incorporating a serum into my beauty routine, but I’d like to someday.
We love using serums because they’re like moisturizers but dialed up. We recommend heading to a sephora and checking out the multitude of serums there. Sephora is great in that they will give you a sample of the product to try home if you ask.
These both look look really good, I’m glad the serum comes with a pump too, beautiful photos!
Aww thank you!
Wait this looks amazing! I want to try. Would be great for a relaxing spa night!
This is exactly what we did! We had a wonderful relaxing, girls spa to enjoy these two products.
Glad comments finally came up for me! I love a good facial mask. the serum looks interesting–i use a serum daily even if nothing else.
Oh were sorry you were having issues with the comment section. Yes we love serums and also use them on the daily even when we’re not going to put on anything else.
I love clay masks! When I have a mask on, it’s one of the few times I force myself to sit and relax. lol
Yes us too. It kind of forces us to lay back and just have a moment of relaxation.
Great review! I’ve been thinking about switching things up in my skin care routine and I’ll look into this!

We have dry, acne prone skin so we love cleansing masks to really unclog our pores. We definitely recommend trying these products. The mask to deep clean the skin and the serum to tackle on the hyperpigmentation from any old acne scars.
These products look (and sound!) amazing! Your skin looks so good in the after I def need to try this.

We definitely recommend heading over to http://www.valentia.com. Valentia does a wonderful job listing all the ingredients used in all their products.
I have blackheads too so if this mask can help to make my skin clearer it would be a godsend! What brush did you use by the way?
Do you mean the foundation brush we used to apply the mask? We use a Royal & langnickel synthetic foundation brush. But this mask works just as well applying it with your fingers.
The mask sounds really nice. It would be nice to exfoliate and clear up my face with it now and then.
My mum would love this. i have a good mind to get it for her. thanks for the share 🙂
