While we have activities we enjoy doing, discovering new ones can be an excellent way to add more zest to our active lifestyle. But it’s not necessary to go sky diving and zipling to have a great adventure. We can experience the same rush without going Mrs. James Bond. Here are some fun ideas to jumpstart our adventure. No hard hat or steel toe boots necessary.
Try ballroom dancing
Let’s imagine moving to the Latin rhythms of mambo, salsa or fox trot. Gliding effortlessly over the dance floor. Hooked already? For those of us thinking about lessons or a fun way to introduce fitness into our lifestyle, this is the ideal solution. And it’s easier than it looks. Anyone can enroll, no matter the age. We just need to pursue it as a challenge to reap all the benefits, which include improving our flexibility, building muscles, and even sharpening our mind. Now that’s the perfect move!
Try horseback riding
Experience western horseback riding this summer. Appreciating a guest ranch or a dude ranch vacation can be a thrill of a lifetime, especially if it’s our retreat away from the buzzling city. Horses are gentle, good tempered, and intelligent by nature, so imagine Interacting with nature from atop of a horse. It’s sure to bring a new perspective on life. Plus we stay in touch with nature and rejuvenate ourselves. So why not saddle up and take a riding lesson or two? Giddy up!
Try beach volleyball
If lounging at the beach sounds fun, why not organize a volleyball game? There’s no need for officials or uniforms, we can just make up our own rules. First thing to do is check our city’s park and recreation department for a list of parks and beaches with volleyball courts or nets. However, there are volleyball sets we can buy in case there is no nets available. Next just dial up friends or family for an afternoon of energetic play, and we are set to go. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
