Divas get ready for another season of Jane Bingham because Drop Dead Diva is back.
In case you need a recap of last season, Owen caught Jane and Grayson kissing, and then collapsed. Jane is feeling guilty and is trying to find Owen, who checked himself out of the hospital and is missing. Back At the firm, Kim got to help her friend Wendy, who had sent nude photos to her boyfriend. But after breaking up with him, the angry boyfriend posted the pictures online. Wendy wants them taken down.
Jane’s new case involves a little boy who was in a medical trial, but unfortunately the boy’s trial was abruptly terminated. Without the trial the boy will die.
Luke comes to tell Jane some shocking news. The old Jane might just be walking around in Owen’s body. That kept us on our toes. Could Owen be dead? But more importantly, is the old Jane really inside of Owen?
Grayson visits Stacy in the hope of finding out how Jane feels about him. But considering Jane wants Grayson to forget the kiss and pretend it never happened, it’s not looking good for those of us wanting Grayson and Jane to be a couple.
Kim is amazing in court. She gets the results she is looking for, And seeing what a jerk that ex of Wendy’s is, it’s a relief. In fact, the ex initially demanded 5,000 dollars but the judge turned that one around nicely. Now he is forced to pay her the $5,000 and remove the naked pictures from the site. It was a win for Kim and definitely a lesson for some.
Out of the blue, Owen shows up in Jane’s office. Looking to figure out if the old Jane is in there, she begins to ask Owen some out there questions. But at the end she discovers Owen really is Owen. Whew!
A sweet moment for the divas, as we get to see how well Owen and Jane were together. It’s too bad he is so hurt by what Jane did, he doesn’t want to talk about it. He really loved her. He walks out the door, leaving Jane in tears.
There’s another surprise in store for us as we get a funny and clueless new angel for Jane, named Paul. And Paul is definitely bringing some humor to the show, especially since he rarely knows what his objective is, and to top it off he is already annoying Jane.
As usual, Jane works her magic on her case. She gets a murder charge put on Mr. Clark since the kid will be dead without the medical trial–making it a “disregard for human life”. The kid is soon allowed to continue in the medical trial. Jane has done it again.
Just when we think it’s over, the real Jane shows up, knocking on Jane’s door. We know what she wants, her old life back. The shocking thing is, she ended up inside an amazing body. Now that’s a nice start to the season, and definitely an awesome turnaround from how it ended last season. Can’t wait to see how the new angel works out and how Old Jane will get her life back.
