We also know that the planning doesn’t end there. There is the honeymoon to think about, starting with picking out the amazing destination and getting time off work. Packing is also another big thing every bride has to prepare for her honeymoon. However, we also know it can be tricky to narrow down the travel must haves every bride will need. But here is where we come in. We have created a list of some of the essentials we think every bride needs to have in her carry-on bag during the flight, including one of our travel favorites, the evian ® Facial Spray.

Flying can be exhilarating, especially after you and the love of your life have just had the most amazing wedding. But it’s also where you’re most likely to feel some of the exhaustion from the big day and all the months of little to no sleep you’ve been running on to plan said wedding. So you’re going to need to have the must haves that will make your flight go smoother, and you feeling refreshed for when you arrived at your honeymoon.

So let’s go over the essentials and how they can really make flying that much easier on you.
Picking out the outfit you’re planning to wear when you travel to your honeymoon spot requires some attention. You want something that looks cute but doesn’t make you feel constricted. Now unless you and your spouse have first class tickets and the extra legroom, chances are you’re in coach which means tight spaces. So the last thing you want is to be uncomfortable for the duration of the trip. This is why we suggest picking pieces that give you those two features. A great outfit is opting for elegant lounge pants, a flowy blouse with lace detailing and a beautiful kimono jacket. Keep shoes and accessories simple.

Many brides and groom eat very little during their reception as they’re time is usually moving around the room, taking pictures with family and friends and just making sure the guests are having a great time. So it’s crucial to have delicious but healthy snacks with you, along with a bottle of water. Due to the high altitude, flying can definitely take a toll on the body from the inside and out so making sure you keep it well nourished is important. Plus, healthy snacks like great protein bars, mixed nuts, lean cut sandwiches and fresh fruit will ensure you satisfy the hunger pang without leaving you sluggish. Include a bottle of water in your carry-on bag and you’re good to go.

Vitamins and tablets are definitely a good thing to add to your travel bag. The last thing you want is to get sick during your travels and have it ruin your honeymoon. So we recommend taking an Emergen-C, Airborne or vitamins right before you start boarding so your body can prevent any colds that may be developing. It may seem a little drastic, but it’s always better to play it safe than to be sorry later on.

Going back to the high altitude, it’s important to bring a few skincare essentials with you as the high altitudes during flying can definitely leave your skin dehydrated and dull. Now we know with liquid rules at airports will limit how much you can pack in your carry-on, but you will only really need a few key products with you for the flight.

One of the three must have skincare products we recommend having on the ready are makeup remover wipes, a face sheet, a good deep moisturizer or serum, and a rich eye cream. Exactly in that order.

As a bride, you’ve probably been wearing makeup all day, and while it’s stood under the weight of flash photography, emotional tears, and just overall wear. The last thing you want to do is travel with a layer of old makeup on the face. This is why we suggest you carry a pack of your favorite makeup wipes so you can easily remove all your makeup from the comfort of your seat. No need to tread on toes to get to one of the toilets on the plane. Once you’ve removed your makeup, put on a face sheet and settle back on your seat and relax. Apply your moisturizer or serum and an eye cream and you’re skin will thank you when you land.

We also recommend carrying a small makeup bag with no more than five to seven products that you can quickly whip out and polish yourself up just before you’re about to land. You’ll be surprised with a fresh coat of mascara and a bold lipstick can do to make you feeling renewed after hours on a plane.

Plane seats can often be very uncomfortable, so having a neck pillow to ease some of the build up tension in your neck and upper back is definitely a must. If you forget to pack one you can always pick one up at a duty-free store in the airport. While some airlines do offer complimentary blankets, many don’t. This is why an oversized scarf is a great option to have with you as you can’t very well pack a blanket in your carry-on. You can simply take out the scarf, unfold it and cover yourself with it if you get a bit chilly on the plane.

The next two items are optional, but definitely add that extra comfort. One of our favorite things to do is to make ourselves as cozy as possible and that means putting on a good pair of soft socks. So we suggest you take off your shoes the moment you land on your seat and put on some comfy socks. If you want to go the extra step, dab a bit of foot cream on the soles of your feet and put the socks on and your feet will feel soft when you finally land at your destination. Sleep is a must on a plane. You’re about to start your honeymoon. The last thing you want is to arrive all exhausted on the first day. So we highly recommend applying a few drops of your favorite aromatherapy oil like Lavender on your seat, neck pillow and oversized scarf to relax you and set you for some peaceful sleep.
