We’re back with another Glossybox review. In celebration of the month of Love, Glossybox has curated products geared to remind us to take a breather from our busy schedules so we can give ourselves a little TLC. Luckily for us, we we’re still able to get a February box despite the new month. Check out our review, and stay to the end to enter for a chance to win a Glossybox too!
A Look Inside the Box
Inside the February box is 5 products, ranging from hair treatment, nail polish to eye patches. One of the reasons we like Glossybox so much is how well thought out their selection of products are in terms of fluidity and cohesiveness. There’s a hair treatment, eye patches, eye and lip cream, nail polish and eyeliner–all products that help us create that “pamper” feel.

ANATOMICALS: Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer Wake Up Under Eye Patches
Besides the cool name (we love our Buffy), these patches are a great way to refreshen and moisturize our under eye area. While we can’t attest to it’s claim of reducing fine lines and wrinkles, we definitely enjoyed how cooling these patches felt. We suggest putting the patches in the refrigerator for an hour or so to make them nice and cool.

LAUREN B. BEAUTY: Nail Couture in City of Angels
This light baby pink nail polish is part of new comer Lauren B. Beauty’s upcoming nail polish line set to launch in Spring 2014. We love how chic the color looks on the nail, as well the lovely packaging. Our only issue is the brush. We love a thicker brush because it helps us achieve a smoother application. But we were able to get a smooth coat once we got familiar with the best way to apply this polish. Now we’re not sure if it’s just us, but this particular polish is described as sheer. However, we found it to be incredibly opaque. Although, this might depend entirely on how formula we get on the nail. Drying time on this nail polish is standard, ranging from 10 to 15 minutes. Tip: Make sure to not to grab too much product, it’s really easy to get too much on the nail and therefore end up with a mess. Scrap some off every time you dip the brush.

PUREOLOGY SERIOUS COLOUR CARE: Multi-tasking Hair Beautifier for Color Treated Hair
Now this product couldn’t have come in a better time since we’ve been trying to get our hair back to a healthier state after dyeing it so much. We’ve heard great things about the Pureology line on blogs and site, so we we’re excited to give this a run. First of, we love the scent. Usually hair treatments while “helpful” have a more medicinal scent to them. This product, however, has a nice fresh scent that can be detected but won’t overwhelm us. We will have to give the hair beautifier a week or two more to really see any lasting result. But we’re excited to see if this hair product can help us get out hair to it’s former glory.

RENU: Lip and Eye Active Lift
By far one of our favorite of the bunch, this lip and eye cream is incredible. On applying this cream we instantly noticed how moisturizing it was. The best part, we don’t need very much (we used no more than a pea size for both of under eyes and lips). Another great thing is how quickly it sinks into the skin. Usually we have to wait a few minutes, especially if they’re geared to hydration before our eye cream sinks into the skin. Again we can’t attest to it’s claim of reducing fine lines and improving dark circles, but we have been enjoying the extra hydration under our eyes. Plus we love how this cream is Paraben free and has no fragrance.
Size: [Deluxe Size] 0.25 oz | Full size is 0.5 oz

SUMITA BEAUTY: Kala Color Intense Pencil
With oily lids like ours, we’re usually uneasy about trying eye pencils that aren’t waterproof. But we gave this Sumita kohl pencil a try. First of all, we will say how incredibly creamy this pencil is on the eyes. Perfect for the waterline. But we despite this, we did notice the liner smearing or disappearing on us after a few hours. We’re sure people with no problems with oily lids will enjoy how creamy and pigmented this eyeliner is on the eyes. Tip: For those with oily lids, make sure to apply a black shadow over the liner (if used on the outer lashes) to make it last longer.
