Q. How did you get into skincare?
J. I didn’t get into proper skin protection until later on in my 30s unfortunately, but once I discovered the skin damages we got on a daily basis it was important to use preventive products to combat sun damage, anti aging and dull skin.
Q. Tell us about your lifestyle and how skin care has shaped it?
J. I like to stay healthy and eat healthy, so skin care goes hand in hand. I try taking care of what I put in my body as well as what I put on it. It use to be harder for us men to have the time to take care of our skin, but with versatile products brands like neutrogena have developed specifically for men, it’s getting much easier to tackle on skin care no matter how active our lifestyles are.
Q. Can you talk us through you mornig skin care routine?
J. In the mornings I like to use the Neutrogena Daily Face Scrub to flake off all the dead skin and prepare my face for a cleaner shave. I then follow with invigorating face wash to keep the skin fresh. It’s then time to shave so I use the sensitive akin shave cream since it really helps soften the whiskers and gets the blade to glide smoothly. Lastly, I use a good moisturizer and SPF at the end.
Q. Why do you think it’s taken a while for men to adapt a similar skin regime as women.
J. Its part of the men mentality weve had growing up. Doesn’t help that we get a bit intimidated about all the products we see women use or in the shops. But with more studies on skin cancer and healthy living, we are waking up to this issue.
