With fall in full swing, we couldn’t resist bringing a little bit of the season at home with this hot caramel apple cider. Not only is this recipe quick and easy, it’ll keep the light autumn chill at bay. So put the cup of joe and green tea aside, and sample this decadent drink. Plus with Halloween looming, the hot apple cider is the perfect concoction.
What You’ll Need:
- 8 cups 100% apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup caramel topping or 7-9 caramel candies
- additional cinnamon sticks for decoration (optional)
- whip cream
How To
Combine the cider, cinnamon sticks, sugar, and caramel in large saucepan over medium-low heat. Let it come to a boil. Next turn down the heat to low, and let it simmer until everything has blended nicely. Make sure to stir frequently. Once we’re satisfied with the mix, it’s time to serve it.
Pour the hot caramel cider into mugs and top each with a cinnamon stick. A dollop of whip cream is optional. Enjoy!
