[dropcap]A[/dropcap]dd a little St. Patrick’s Day cheer with these two festive nail designs for the occasion. These St. Patrick’s Day inspired nails are easy to do and are perfect for the glitter lover at heart! So keep reading for step-by-step instructions on how you can recreate both of these fun nail arts right from home.

What You Will Need
- -Zoya ‘Merida’
- -Glisten & Glow ‘Wedding Gown White’ (opaque white)
- -Glisten & Glow ‘HK Girl’ (Fast Drying + Super Shiny Top Coat)
- -White Acrylic Paint
- -Striped Nail Vinyl
Side Note: Feel free to use any polishes you want. Any glitter green, white, and quick dry top coat you have will do.
How To
Step One
Apply two coats of Merida on every finger except the ring finger nails. On the ring finger nails, apply two coats of Wedding Gown White. Before you apply the quick dry top coat, clean up around the cuticles to ensure that it looks the best it can! While painting, make sure to not get too close to the cuticle area so the clean-up process is easier! After you’re happy with how the polish looks, apply the quick dry top coat. It’s important to choose a quick dry top coat when you’re doing any nail design because it dries fast and you can get to do the designs faster!
Step Two
After making sure the top coat is completely dry, you can start working on the designs! This is where the white acrylic paint comes into play. Acrylic paint is essential to doing beautiful nail designs. The acrylic paint takes longer to dry, and you can scrape it off if you’re not too happy with the design. [Tip: Acrylic paint is easily found at most craft sections of stores.]
For the shamrock on the middle finger, start by painting the stem. Then, start painting the leaves of the shamrock. Each leaf is basically a long heart. Draw the outline of each leaf to ensure the spacing is perfect and each shape is symmetrical. Then, color in the leaves. Don’t worry if the acrylic paint is looking a little lumpy, the top coat will smooth it out.
Next, is the nail vinyl! For an easier removal, clip the vinyl at the same place on two sides. Push the vinyl firmly on the nail. Make sure there is no lifting because nail polish will bleed under and make the line messy! Apply a slightly thicker coat of Merida over the vinyl to ensure full opacity of the layering polish. Don’t wait for that polish to dry, immediately pull off the vinyl after applying Merida.
Step Three
Wait for the acrylic paint and Merida to dry. If you apply the top coat too quick after the application, it will smear. Wait a couple of minutes and apply the final coat of quick dry top coat. The top coat will smooth out the acrylic paint and seal in the designs.
And that’s it!
Now just enjoy this beautiful design you did! Remember to paint with confidence! Short, choppy strokes will make the design look messy, so be confident in your movements! Practice makes perfect. The acrylic paint will help ease your nerves!

The second St. Patrick’s Day nail design has a little more freehand to it, but it simple and easy to do. If you love sparkle, you’ll love the small pops of gold glitter in it.
What You Will Need
- -Glisten & Glow ‘Wedding Gown White’ (opaque white)
- -Green Acrylic Paint
- -F.U.N Lacquer ‘TGIF’
- -Glisten & Glow ‘HK Girl’ (Fast Drying + Super Shiny Top Coat)
- -A thin nail art brush
- -Small dotting tool
Side note: Again, feel free to use any nail polishes you have at hand.
How To:
Step One
Apply two coats of Glisten & Glow ‘Wedding Gown White’ to reach full opacity. Next, clean up around the edges with pure acetone and a clean-up brush. Then, add a layer of Glisten & Glow ‘HK Girl’. This quick dry top coat hardens the layers of nail polish, and lets you start the designs quicker.
Step Two
With your thin nail art brush; dip into the green acrylic paint. Start by doing the stem of the shamrock; then do the outline of the leaves. If the lines don’t come out as nice as you had hoped, wash them away with water. Once you have the outline, fill it in with the green acrylic paint. If it’s a little lumpy, don’t worry because it will smooth out with the top coat.
Step Three
Add small green dots along the edge of the nail with a small dotting tool. If you don’t have a dotting tool, you can use the tip of a ball point pen or a bobby pin.
Step Four
Using the same technique as above, add dots of gold glitter around the green dots. For the gold glitter, put more of the gold glitter on the dotting tool so the glitter is more opaque on each dot.
Step Five
Wait a couple minutes for the polish to dry; then apply a coat of quick dry top coat. This top coat will smooth out the lumpiness of the acrylic paint and the glitter. Just add some cuticle oil and voila!
You now have a beautiful St. Patrick’s Day design!
