[dropcap]L[/dropcap]exi, the maker of Painted Polish, and her cousin Kelli Berglund came together to collaborate on a fun nail polish duo in celebration of Kelli’s 21st birthday. The stunning lavender duo contains a crème and an ultra holo. Now I’m fairly new to Painted Polish, but I was excited to try these shades, especially since lavender is my favorite color! And thank goodness I did because this exciting duo was everything I was hoping it would be from the color payoff to the smooth formula and application. Here’s a closer look at this exciting new duo from Painted Polish.

‘Counting Candles’ is a lavender ultra holo polish. I used two coats plus a top coat. This polish is beautiful in regular lighting, but it is truly eye catching in outdoor daylight! I can definitely see this color being wearable year round.
‘Take the Cake’ is a lavender crème. The formula was so beautiful. The polish didn’t flood the cuticles and I didn’t have a streaking issue! It’s such a delicate color. And with spring around the corner, I definitely see myself wearing it a lot this coming season.
For my first introduction to Painted Polish, I couldn’t be more happy with this duo! The colors complement each other so well, but still look stunning on their own! If you’ve never tried Indie polishes before, I think this duo would be a great way to start.

I love glitter nail polish, but it is so hard to get off! Your nails look amazing!
Thank you! This polish is holo, so it’s easy to take off! You don’t have to worry about glitter chunks sticking to the nail! It’s finely milled so it comes off as easily as a creme! If you really want to wear a chunky glitter, you can use a peel off base coat. I use UNT Ready for Takeoff and it’s amazing!
My daughter would LOVE this!!! I like am a more natural, classic color on my nails, when I get to them, but if I wanted to step outside my box, lavender is my first choice 🙂

I love lavender so much but I don’t wear pastels so much anymore. Maybe when the Spring comes I start wearing some bright colors because I like how they made me feel. Also, take the cake would go great with what I have in my mind.

Counting Candles and Take the Cake are great polish combinations. I love the clever play on the names too linking them both together. They clearly compliment one another and look fab on your nails.
