[large_title title=”How To: Making the Cookies”]
Let’s start with you Candy Cookie Mix (reddish-pink mix).
In a large mixing bowl, pour your candy cookie mix. Don’t get intimidated by the pinkish color, the mix will turn orange the moment it gets moisture.
Add the softened butter, water and vanilla to your candy cookie mix.
Take a large wooden spoon (or fork) and start to stir everything together until a soft dough starts to form. Tip: A handheld mixer can work, but we recommend using a large spoon as we found this to be easier to use.
After a bit of stirring, you should get a soft dough that is not too sticky or too stiff. You’ll notice the dough is now a fluorescent orange color. Set the dough aside.
Repeat the same steps with the Corn Cookie Mix
[large_title title=”How To: Assemble the Cookies”]
Now that you have your two color doughs done, it’s time to assemble the candy corn cookies. First preheat your oven to 375 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Also line your workstation with a sheet of parchment paper to avoid any dough from sticking on your surface. Tip: We suggest taping each end of your parchment paper down so it stays put.
Take a tablespoon of each dough (as accurate as possible) and roll them into two separate balls. Do this with the entire dough before you go on to the next step.
Candy Corn Design
To create the classic candy corn shape, take one orange dough ball and start to shape it into a triangle. Make sure to flatten it with your fingers to create a smoother looking triangle. Next, take an inch or two of your yellow dough ball, and create a small triangle. Join the small triangle with your large orange dough (as seen on the above picture), making sure it sticks together. Take the remaining yellow dough and flatten it in a semi-rectangular shape, almost resembling a pizza crust. Join it all together until you have the classic candy corn shape. Move to your baking sheet, and repeat until all the dough is used.
Candy Corn Swirl Design
To do the candy corn swirl shape, mold your yellow and orange dough into two long strips and stack them on top each other. Take one end of the stacked doughs and start to roll them until they resemble a cinnamon bun. Now just carefully flatten them to create a nice swirl. You can do this will all your doughs or interchange between the two designs. Once done, place them on your baking sheet to bake.
Pop the cookies in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until you see a light golden brown. Let them cool for two minutes before decorating them.
[large_title title=”How To: Decorating The Candy Corn Cookies”]
Fill a large zipblock bag (or piping bag) with your frosting. Once the bag is secure, make a small cut on the end to create a makeshift piping bag.
Time to create those classic white tops on our candy corn cookies. Now found that by piping out the vanilla frosting on the tip first and then spreading it with a knife makes it easier to get a more even layer. Repeat with all the cookies. Set them aside for 5 to 10 minutes or until the frosting hardens.
And voila! You have quick and easy candy corn cookies. Bon appetit!

These are adorable! The perfect Halloween snack!
