The season 6 of Drop Dead Diva is off to an exciting start, as the big moment we’ve all been waiting for: Jane finally tells Grayson who she really is. Will this finally be the season our favorite diva gets her prince charming?
Surprisingly, Grayson isn’t too shocked about the news. He has suspected something was amiss for a while now, especially since Jane knew so much about him. Despite the unexpected reaction–albeit–positive one, he wasn’t necessarily happy finding out that Jane told Stacy her secret but not him. Jane says she couldn’t tell him because she didn’t think he could love Deb in this body. Grayson is upset that Jane could even think he was that shallow of a person.
Before we start putting the blame solely on Jane’s shoulders, we need to remember that her previous guardian angel prevented her from telling Grayson who she really was. Luckily, the episode left us with a glitter of hope when Grayson tells Jane he wants to get to know her. Even though she ensures him that she is Deb, he tells her that he buried Deb. It’s as if he’s telling her (and us) he’s closed that particular chapter and now it is time to get to know this Jane.
We hope these two will finally get together this season, even if takes small steps. We have a feeling we’re in for quite a ride this season 6.
