[dropcap]E[/dropcap]very year around this time, our inner fashionistas start going on overdrive as we impatiently wait for New York Fashion Week to begin. We will even admit there has been some heels clicking and wishing with all our might that our Fairy Godmother would come down, wave her magic wand, and whisk us away to the big Apple. Sadly, no fairy godmother yet. But thanks to live streaming, we have enjoyed watching the Spring 2015 collections. Now with NYFW at an end, we have narrowed down our favorite trends in Fashion, Beauty & Hair seen on the runway.

Gingham
This traditional check print has made quite a splash on the Spring/Summer 2015 New York runways. From Oscar De La Renta’s midriff-baring crop top and skirt set showcasing a bigger check to Diane Von Furstenberg’s collection featuring a floor-length tank dress with two sized checks meshed together to create a gorgeous, flirty silhouette.
Why We Love it: Recycled trends can be tricky to do, so we love that designers have modernized these classic checks —giving it a much needed facelift.
White on White
White is most definitely the standing color for spring/summer 2015. The fresh, pristine color was seen throughout the runway. At DKNY, we saw a fun, athletic feel which even included ivory high-tops too. Finally, Victoria Beckham boasted a fantastic militarian vibe in her collection that also played with this stark white on white trend.
Why We Love it: We love how this classic shade is still going strong after several seasons now. We can’t wait to try the trend for spring with bright-colored nails. Plus who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day.

Bold Eyes
It is clear that bold eyes were the focal point on the runway this time around. So instead of seeing bright, neon lips, we saw more graphic, defined eyes. We spotted several models sporting Nanette Lepore’s newest collection wearing long lashes and white eyeliner on the top and bottom lid. And we can’t forget the bright orange eyeliner on the lower line at Peter Som.
Why We Love it: Many of the futuristic, bold eye makeup we saw on the runway really wowed us. Not only did we love the thick black wings, we also loved how makeup artists also played with neon colors to spice up the dramatic lines.
No Makeup Makeup
If NYFW is any indication, the “no make-up” makeup trend is here to stay. It was all about natural, effortless faces grazing the runway at Tory Burch’s spring/summer collection, and glowing fresh skin at the Marc Jacob’s fashion show.
Why We Love it: As much as we love our smokey, dramatic makeup, it’s great to see that designers are embracing a more natural look for next season.

Classic Braids
Braids, Braids, Braids! If there is one hairstyle that stuck out most at NYFW it was braids. From classic braids like sleek French and fishtails to more messy twists of the classic—basically every style of braid was seen on the runway.
Why We Love it: Braids are so universal, and can really help dress up or dress down any outfit. We can’t wait to sport this trend this coming spring and summer.

Nail Art
It’s all about nail art this time around. We saw some fantastic nail art on models from nontraditional French manicures worn at Zang Toi Spring collection to over the top embellishments seen at the Betsey Johnson fashion show.
Why We Love it: There are no rules for next season as anything goes on the nails. We can’t wait to try some of these nail arts at home.
