As Californians, we are fortunate to live in a state where sunny weather is one we can usually count on year round. A fact, many us, whether we want to admit it or not, take for granted. But for other people in different regions of the United States or abroad, the unpredictable weather can leave their country, cities, families and personal possessions utterly destroyed. Such was the case when on Nov 8, a devastating typhoon ripped through the Philippines, leaving chaos at its wake. Despite feuding conflicts in the capital or between countries throughout the years, our compassion and humanity is never as poignant as when we come together to help those in need. We’ve proven time and time again that when it counts, we can stand united. For those looking to find out where we can help Typhoon Haiyan Victims, we’ve compiled a list of organizations and charities working to send aid to the Philippines.
