Inside Graze’s Healthy Snack Subscription & Sampler Box Review

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e have tried all different types of monthly subscription boxes from beauty and lifestyle to everything in between. However, we have yet to try one completely dedicated to foodies. That is until now. We have always been curious to try a Graze box after hearing about their boxes all dedicated to healthy snacks, so we took the chance to try their free box and see what all the buzz was about. And to get the full Graze experience we opted to get their 8 snack variety box as well. Over two weeks, we have sampled each individual snack we received in our two boxes and are finally ready to share our review on the Graze  subscription boxes and what we thought about their healthy snacks.

Let’s start with the 4 Snack Sampler Box

Graze offers those new to the subscription the chance to pick up their 4 snack sampler box absolutely free, you just pay shipping (just $1).  Once you’ve entered your information and paid the $1 shipping cost, you can just sit back and wait for the sample box to arrive.

We received ours within a few days, and a week later their regular 8 snack variety box in the mail. When you first register for a free box and create an account, it’s crucial that you fill out their preferences quiz, which you can read on each snack and check which ones you prefer best. This will give the team at Graze a better idea on which snacks are up your alley. One thing to note is that the free sampler box is curated entirely by Graze, however you will have more input on the types of snacks you want to see in your regular weekly boxes.

1. Thai Tom Yum: Hot & Sour soup with Kaffir lime leaves & aromatic lemongrass
2. Pumpkin Spice Flapjack: Rustic rolled oat flapjack with pumpkin spice
3. Snickerdoodle Dip with Cinnamon pretzel sticks
4. Sweet Mustard Ranch: Pretzels, sour cream & onion cashews & mustard breadsticks

Our Thoughts & Faves: We seriously loved the free sampler box, which is why we opted to receive the 8 snack variety box.  We are the first to admit that when we thought of healthy snacks we were expecting blank water crackers (not that there is anything wrong with that) and bland treats. But we couldn’t have been more wrong. Carefully packaged was 4 portioned-controlled snacks ranging from sweet, salty and savory. Our favorites would definitely have to be the Pumpkin Spice Flapjacks, which were these delicious mini oat squares with hints of pumpkin spice. So good! Another favorite was the Thai Tom Yum. We were not expecting a soup mix in our box, but we fell in love with the unique, rich flavor.

Despite being impressed with the free sampler box, we weren’t sure if we would love their regular weekly box the same. But we kept an open mind. And boy are we happy we did. Inside our box was 8 portioned controlled snacks that were familiar and daring at the same time.

1. Chocolate Pretzel: Lightly salted pretzel sticks with a cocoa & hazelnut dip
2. Strawberries and Cream: Oat & Barley granola, strawberry pieces, yoghurt coated strawberry pieces & soy protein crispies
3. Tuscan Pesto Kern Pops: Cheddar half popped corn kernels & mini basil breadsticks
4. Thai Sweet Chili Dippers: Sweet chili sauce with multigrain soy rice crackers
5. Spicy Sriracha Crunch: sriracha peas, salted peanuts, garlic sesame sticks & roasted cashews
6. Chia Coconut Cookie
7. Chocolate Cherry Protein Granola Topper: Cocoa granola, chopped hazelnuts, freeze dried cherry & soya protein crispies [ Not Pictured ]
8. Deconstructed Carrot Cake: Carrot chews, cinnamon raisins, ginger fudge & walnuts  [ Not Pictured ]

Our thoughts & Faves: A big reason why we recommend you filling out as much of your preferences as possible on graze.com is because it’ll ensure you get the best weekly box as possible. If you don’t like a particular snack they offer in their large selection of snacks (over 100) then just click that you’re not and now when your box gets curated you won’t get stuck with things you absolutely hate. Hands down our favorites from the bunch include the Spicy Sriracha Crunch, Chic Coconut Cookies, and the Tuscan Pesto Kern Pops. These definitely had to be some of the most unique combinations of snacks we’d ever tasted, but they tasted divine. Best part is the assurance that there aren’t any artificial colors or preservatives and high fructose corn syrup. So we can snack away without feeling guilty. Talk about a win win.

Overall

We have really been enjoying our Graze subscription service. While some may pause on the $13.99 price for the weekly subscription box, we feel the accessibility, taste and health factor make it all worth it. And if you love snacking like we do–often at night–than you know how it can lead to overeating and excessive junk food. Each individual snack gives just enough to satisfy the craving and still incorporate a healthier lifestyle. A gold star in our book.
