How to Apply

Apply the mask using your fingers or a clean foundation brush, making sure to avoid the eye area. Simply leave the product on for 15-30 minutes. You may be a slight tingling sensation, which is normal. After time is up, just wipe it off with a damp cloth and warm water.

The True Glow Eye Cream

The eyes are one of the key areas we like to make sure we are keeping a close eye on when it comes to our skincare regimen. And so we were curious to test out the True Glow Eye cream and see how it performed.

First impression: The first thing that struck us about the eye cream was the packaging. Many eye creams on the market, whether high-end or drugstore come in small jars, which increases the chances of unhygienic practices. Valentia has packaged their eye cream in a glass bottle with a pump. We love this because it provides a more hygienic application and gives us control on how much product we want to use.

Application: The included pump allows us to pump just the right amount of product so there is no product wasted. And you only need a little (less than a pea size) for both eyes. Dabbing the eye cream under the eyes is quick and easy with the product absorbing into the skin within twenty seconds. You can feel a slight firmness around the eyes once the eye cream sets into the skin without a heavy feeling.

Scent/Irritants: The True Glow Eye Cream does have a light, fresh scent from the natural ingredients it contains, but in no way did it feel overpowering or cause any irritation to our eyes or skin. Side Disclaimer: We do want to set a disclaimer that we generally do not have sensitive skin so we cannot guarantee that the eye cream will not cause any irritation.

Performance: We have tested this eye cream for more than a few weeks now so we can really see how this product performs. While we have not noticed any drastic results in the reducing of fine lines or wrinkles, we do like how this product has kept our under eyes hydrated, especially during the hot weather we have been having in Southern California. As we mentioned before, there is a slight firmness you immediately feel at every application which we have noticed helps our under eye concealer go on more smoothly.

Overall: We like how easy this eye cream sinks into the skin, leaving no heavy feeling or residue after each application. Along with being cruelty-free, we appreciate that Valentia has used natural and organic ingredients in the products, giving more peace of mind of what we are applying to our face. We do recommend using this eye cream both day and night to ensure the under eye stays hydrated and supple.

Ultra Plumping Hydrating Mask

One of favorite things to use during the winter months or any season for that matter is masks. So the Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydrating Mask was definitely a product we were most excited for.

First impression: The packaging was again one of the first things that caught our eye. We really like Valentia’s sleek but minimalist look for their packaging. However, we were a little disappointed they opted for a container style for their mask rather than doing a bottle with a pump like they did with their True Glow eye cream. A pump would be a great way to keep the product as hygienic as possible. Now when we did open the product, we were immediately engulfed with the strong sweet scent with hints of vitamin/herbal undertones.

Application: To keep the product as hygienic as possible, we used a clean spatula to scoop out a bit of the product (about the size of a quarter) onto the lid and then used a clean foundation brush to apply the mask on our face. We made sure to wash the lid after every use. The consistency of this mask is perfect. It is not runny nor overly thick, which helps the ability to spread the mask over the face with little to no mess.

Scent/Irritants: Unlike the True Glow eye cream, the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask has a very overpowering, vitamin kind of scent that those sensitive to any scent may not like at all the moment they open up the container. We will say that the scent did mellow down a bit once we applied the mask on our face. Performance: This hydrating mask has a very cooling effect, which paired with the slight tingle on the skin makes for an enjoyable experience. There really is no brainer when it comes to using this mask. You simply apply the mask on the face and neck, and leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes. Even on the first use we immediately felt the skin feel softer. However, the best way to use this product is to exfoliate the skin, this way it takes off the dry skin and leaves your face ready for the mask. It is definitely recommended to apply a good moisturizer afterwards to make sure the hydration is locked in.

Overall: This is by far our favorite product from Valentia. We saw a reduction of black heads around our nose and the skin feel softer and suppler after two weeks of using the product. We definitely recommend this product for those gals who love a good firm, hydrating mask.
