The ocean influences us in many ways. We are inspired by the vastness of marine life, while the sandy beaches, sleepy shores, and breathtaking sunsets always leave us mesmerized. And beneath the ocean surface still remains mysterious findings. So even though we can’t taste the salty sea spray, here are some active ways to dip our toes into the deep waters.
Take on fashion high seas.
Set sail in the classic nautical look. Whether we are strolling on the pier, beach or sailing on the ocean, this look is adorable. Start the look with a blue bathing suit and white shorts. A full-length striped dress would suit too. Horizontal stripes and boat neck tops are easy finds. Add gorgeous metallic sandals or espadrille wedges to keep the sea-going theme elegant. Nature is an endless source of inspiration for jewelry designers. Subtly pair your ensemble with sea themed jewelry. Ahoy!
Take the sea back to the city.
Fond of the beach but live in the city? For those of us who love beach decor, there are little ways to add coastal style to any home, whether we live near the beach or not. To revamp our home into an enchanting beach cottage, paint a flea market hutch Birch white and fill the shelves with vintage glassware, pitchers, and seashells. Add an Azure blue adirondack to the patio and turn an old oar into a functional coat rack. To add zest, a coat of Breath of Blue colored paint or wallpaper can change the mood of any room. As long as we find the right summery color palette for us then we’re sure to get the desired look. Remember, turning our attention to the ocean is an alluring way to embrace our inner mermaid!
