Our Pick: American Hustle
It was almost impossible to pick which out of all these cream of the crop films should win. But we had to choose American Hustle over the acclaimed 12 Years a Slave (which we loved). The film had executed so brilliantly, we couldn’t resist naming it our victor. And believe us, the race was a close one.

Our Pick: Leonardo DiCaprio
All the actors did a phenomenon portrayal of their characters, so we we’re torn on who to choose. For the sake of choosing a winner, we had to pick DiCaprio just slightly over the rest. As with any DiCaprio film, we fell in love with his genius, flawed character till the very end. However, any one of the nominees in this category could win and we’re be okay with it.

Our Pick: Sandra Bullock
Again the creme of the crop in this category. Yet we had to give our hats to Sandra Bullock who gave us one of her best performances ever in ‘Gravity’. All with a minimal supporting cast to boot. Amazing!

Our Pick: Jared Leto
The Bradley Cooper vs Jared Leto was a tough one, but Leto’s portrayal of an HIV transgender woman was one we just couldn’t over look. It’s definitely Leto’s best performance to date.

Our Pick: Jennifer Lawrence
It’s an extremely tight race between Lawrence and Nyong’o for the Oscar. In a perfect world, these two ladies would each get one. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner. Lawrence’s character was so snarky and brilliant in American Hustle, it was one of the reasons we loved the film so much.
